Website: Be Ready with CPF
A designated website to enable Singaporeans to define their financial plans and take the right steps toward achieving retirement goals.

Overview
The Central Provident Fund (CPF) is a mandatory social security savings scheme funded by contributions from employers and employees. It serves to meet our retirement, housing, and healthcare needs. Getting started with retirement planning can be daunting.
This website is designed to help Singaporeans to start their financial plan and take the necessary steps to reach their retirement goals.
Problem
Most Singapore residents know that managing CPF funds is important, but not everyone knows where to start.
As of June 2020, there were around 4 million active CPF members in Singapore.
Singaporeans may face challenges in understanding CPF's role in their financial planning due to the complexity of the system, lack of awareness of its benefits, and limited access to resources such as financial advisors or educational materials.
Limited customization makes the effort less effective, despite the government and CPF Board's efforts to increase education and awareness about CPF.
Depending on their stage of life and financial goals, individuals may encounter various challenges when engaging with CPF education and resources provided by the government, such as limited engagement, accessibility, and limited customization.
My Role
As a digital designer, I designed the UX/UI for the microsite according to the content strategy provided by Singapore CPF (client) in 2020 and collaborated with 2 Art Directors on the photography curation and marketing campaign.
The project took an overall 6 months to deliver. In phase 1 (2.5 months), I focus on concept development, site map, wireframes, and design for major pages. In phase 2 (3.5 months), I focus on design iterations, responsive design optimization, and content population.
In addition, I worked alongside a Creative Director, a Copy Writer, and 3 Business Account Managers.
I stopped working on the project after the website is successfully launched in early 2021.
Design Brief
Create a user experience that harmonizes all functions and content to ensure that every CPF member receives a holistic learning experience, & advice that’s more specific to his/her needs.
Objectives:
1) Generate content recommendations for users
2) Create personalized learning & planning pathways for users that can be historically retrieved
3) Collect additional digital user-generated insights
In 2020, The CPF board decide to increase online engagement and provide personalised onboarding and learning experience for CPF members through a dedicated microsite.
Singapore has one of the highest smartphone penetration rates in the world, with an estimated 84% of the population using smartphones as of 2020. Also, approximately 74% of household penetration rate for personal computers (including laptops and desktops)
With the high smartphone and internet penetration rate in Singapore, a website could reach a wider audience and allow individuals to access information about CPF at their own convenience.
